For Immediate Release
Announcing the Nova Scotia Quality of Life Survey deadline has been extended from April 19th to May 3rd
Greater numbers will provide greater data and greater insights…
Halifax, Nova Scotia - April 14, 2026 - Engage Nova Scotia is pleased to announce the Nova Scotia Quality of Life Survey has been extended from April 19th until May 3rd. We want to ensure that more Nova Scotians have an opportunity to tell their story, specifically we want to hear more from those between the ages of 16 to 30. By extending the closing date by an additional two weeks, we will be able to tell a more complete story of everyone’s wellbeing in Nova Scotia which can help inform decision making, drive impactful change, and improve local communities.
“There’s never been a more important time to hear from Nova Scotians about their quality of life,” says Danny Graham, Chief Engagement Officer at Engage Nova Scotia. “The survey data offers insights to build local understanding on issues like affordability, disability, gender, equity, housing, community health and climate change.”
The survey results will show how significantly things have changed for Nova Scotians, and at local levels, since we last surveyed in 2019. The survey is the largest undertaking of its kind in Canada.
Quick Facts:
The survey asks over 200 questions about your quality of life and takes between 30 to 60 minutes to complete.
We ask questions that matter to Nova Scotians. From time with your family, to paying your bills, to experiences with loneliness.
The survey is anonymous. No identifying information such as names or addresses are collected.
Initial findings are expected to be released in the latter part of 2026 and will be shared on our website: engagenovascotia.ca
Survey data is accessible to all through our Wellbeing Mapping tool.
