Survey results are available for you to help understand and advance quality of life in Nova Scotia.

What can I learn from the results?

Results are organized by the eight domains: Community Vitality, Living Standards, Health, Environment, Time Use, Leisure and Culture, Education, and Democratic Engagement. Results can be shown along the lines of shared characteristics as well as answers to survey questions; for example, age, sex, region of the province, income, race and ethnicity, living arrangement, education, reported disability, and more.

How can I access more results?

There are two possibilities for additional analysis: one way is for you to access the data, and the other way is for us to do the analysis.

What has been shared already?

The summary results made available in March 2020 are expressed as tables that share responses to each of the survey questions for ten regions across the province and Nova Scotia overall. These tables are comprehensive and may be just what you’re looking for.
We’ve also shared supplementary analysis that includes high-level information about demographic groups that caught the attention of the Canadian Index of Wellbeing, insights about the eight domains of wellbeing, and analysis related to six areas of focus.
